The NDA exam is a national-level entrance test conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to select candidates for admission into the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy.

1. Nationality
- Indian citizen, or
- Subject of Bhutan/Nepal, or
- Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
